Was hanging out with my theater crew during rehearsals where our characters weren't needed for a scene that was being practiced. Lent a friend my guitar (cos I take guitar class) and he started playing the Super Mario theme, Good Riddance, and then Here Comes Your Man. Really funny cos he prefaced his mini jam session with "I'm not very good at playing guitar"

Tell me how I'm wrong tho? Old 80's/90's alt rock bands aren't making good records anymore. Indy Cindy was great.

Indy Cindy has a familiar Pixies feel, but it didn't have the same spirit, it didn't have Kim Deal, and it seemed more like a Pixies tribute band than an actual Pixies album

@ala Well yeah. Pixies are a band that's "still around" so I naturally was comparing them to their peers. Maybe I overexaggerated a little with the "90%".
Radiohead aren't the same era dude, btw. I'm talking bands like REM, Husker du, and violent femmes.
@ars, Kim wasn't the primary songwriter tho, Francis was. I don't think her presence was that important.
