curious to see if they'll continue with the prog, more than likely
|
| |
I hope they continue with the prog to be honest.
|
| |
They will do
|
| |
Yeah. Apparently the next album is gonna feature a song heavily influenced by Goblin which will probably rule.
|
| |
My bet is that after their US tour they'll enter the studio. So new album could be at the end of the year, but more likely early next year.

I actually sometimes imagine the same music on this except in Blackwater Park esque metal form. I think it would have sounded bomb

I hope they continue with the prog but look at Steven's new album to realise that 'trendy' 70s prog throwback albums don't have to be boring as a rule...

This is actually less boring than any of Wilson's recent material imo.

This is consistently engaging

Agreed, which is more than can be said for most of Wilson's solo stuff imo.

Never been that big on Wilson and his projects, apart from PT of course.
Akerfeldt's songwriting just seems more focused and straightforward, not convoluted and lengthy.

i think this is less boring than SW's solo prog, but it's still pretty boring nonetheless. where does the band go from here? if they stick with the prog it'll just be heritage pt. 2. do they really want to put out the same album again? for those who like this...is that what you want? i'm not saying they have to go back to metal, but what is there really to be gained by going full prog again?
