i enjoyed his new one as well but it was too long and a little homogeneous i felt. this is his most interesting album sonically. there's so much going on and it has enough variety throughout

Yeah I'm listening to this now and I'm liking all the layered vocals and rich electronics. Colour is a journey and I'm not sure this could top that though.

at 17 songs (i think?), colour just feels way too bloated. after hearing this extensively, and overgrown, which i thought was kind of mediocre, colour just feels like a rehashing of past ideas. it's beautiful, don't get me wrong, just a little predictable and less affecting. nothing moves me as much as measurements

That seems to be the case for albums like this, you either vibe or don't and it can be frustrating when you wanna love something more
