Srsly, lyrics are a compliment to the music. It does

annoy me if they're downright dumb though, especially

if the artist is expected to deliver well on the matter.

But many bands I like don't necessarily have the best

lyrics.

RE: Tren't lyrics I think on albums like this, Year Zero and With Teeth when he has a concept to focus on he can actually some fucking fantastic stuff (if there's a song that portrays hopelessness better than Hurt in this respect I'd like to hear it) but when he doesn't have a concept as with the Slip and Hesitation Marks they're kinda shitty
