the couple times they picked things up on that album theyd stop way too fast and start ambienting again.
The Sad Mafioso goes on for ages
anyway I actually like that, the music's given space to breathe and it adds to the build ups. And their dark, ambient sections are their best

When I'm listening to those ambient passages on f#a# I feel like I'm floating in some divine realm

string loop manufactured during donwpour is the part immediately after where are you going and before the silence and it's the best section in music ever

that's the only part of a song that has actually kept me up at night because of how amazing it is

All I wanted was a completely mind blowing post rock godspeed climax. I was begging for it. Just when I thought it arrived theyd pull the rug out from me and I :/. This album has more of that while still keeping the ambience.

Of course. Like I said it didnt last long enough. For such a long album 9/10 of it was too slow. I only listened to it twice so far but so far this album beats it to me.

(which realm)
all of them. You just get completely lost in that music
when I finish a godspeed album it feels like I'm exiting a dream. It feels weird how suddenly everything's real again. No other band does that
I really wanna know how they managed to write so many amazing and beautiful yet so simple pieces of music for just one album. Really can't decide which is my favourite track off that album, let alone favourite moment.

lysf is literally better. you can't argue with literally!

Lysf has some fantastic moments but it doesn't completely absorb and mesmerise me like f#a# does. Listening to this I sometimes find myself wondering when the next part I like is coming up. Never get that with f#a#

i usually don't think anything when i listen to this.
