can't be a prog purifier if you aren't really into prog in the first place

This is psych on steroids more than wholesale prog imo

Deloused has the appropriate trying way too hard factor though, and the two after have the complexstructure weirdo factor

it's really more post-experimental arthouse jazz-prog neo-avant-latinocore if you ask me

Why are there so many prog or prog-adjacent songs from different bands called Cygnus and how are they all actually good

Listening to their music, this album in particular, makes me confident that they all have some sort of ADHD. The randomness and chaoticness of it all

this one doesn't hit ADHD mode until the closer imo, rest of the tracks are just long jams with big fecking choruses

They genuinely did have an ADHD approach to making music at this time... and yeah, the closer's all over the place.

Great album, that would've been even greater if they'd have got it together enough to actually include the title track on the record itself.

It's probably one of the best prog rock albums of the 21st century but doesn't get any close to the best of the 20th century prog rock classics

L'Via is crazy good. Maybe my most listened to song of this year. I wish they did another albun in this style, Amp is very hard to get through except for Viscera Eyes

I find Amputechture difficult to digest. I haven't jammed anything by the band for a while - maybe it is time to spin this and their other albums.

Amp is part of the holy trinty of my most dissapointing albums

Amp - TMV

10,000 days- Tool

Med Sud - Sigur ros

All had the unfortunate job of following up their band's magnum opuses (opi?)
