Pale Folklore is undoubtedly my fav Agalloch, but it's always so hard to decide if I like this or The Mantle more. All 3 are absolutely fucking perfect for me.

The Mantle is my undisputed favorite. The clean guitar tones on that record give me chills every time I hear them.

No arguing there brother. I love them all so much, even Marrow and Serpent just to a little bit of a lesser extent.

Marrow's #2 for me. I really like the aggressive stylings of Painted Grey and how it contrasts with the slow-burning build of Black Lake. It's just a really easy listen, and feels more crisp and fresh than this. I think the extra use of synthesizer and softer guitar tone on this takes that away for me.
