I was so disappointed to find out Aphex Twin fans are casual normies in real life. Online they present themselves as ultimate edgelords, you know.. creatures from which you'd expect succulent extremist behavior from. Nah, believe me they're no rebels, they're government sweethearts dormantly playing the anarchist game like they're in a Italian coming-of-age film from the 50s.

Most Aphex twin fans are guys who aren’t that into electronic music outside of the warp realm, idk what anarchism has to do with them but I’ll give you that much I guess

Depends on when you grew up I guess, but my nan liked Jean Michel Jarre and I'm in my mid-30s.

So for the kids of today that's great grandad electronic!

As an electronic music fan there's nothing more cringy than people who think pre-90s electronic music was great. Edgard Varese, Halim El Dabh, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, Brian Eno, sorry, they're a bunch of nobodies. Kraftwerk and Jean Michel Jarre were actually decent BECAUSE their music was cheesy.
