It feels like Sabbath to me, some of Iommi’s best guitar work right here. I love all the Dio Sabbath albums.

Doom ripped off several metal songs. I think the main theme was an amalgamation of Mouth For War by Pantera, Hooked by DRI and Behind the Crooked Cross by Slayer. There’s an article somewhere that has all the songs they borrowed from to make the first two soundtracks.

jamming this in full for i think the first time rn. t/t is obv a classic but i'm almost completely unfamiliar with the rest of this.

surprised at how nwobhm this sounds at points and it has a lot of iommi's best lead work. certainly a few duds tho.

yes very nwobhm and un-sabbath. you should check out the other two dio ones if you haven't. mob rules is a bit heaver/sabbath like and dehumanizer is maybe their heaviest album.

i might be crucified for this but im just not into this as much as their older stuff, the 80s production and classic rock vibe just ain’t my thing
