yeah the new Ep tracks slapped
Was a fairly long set, probably 3x as long as when they supported tesseract. Mix of everything, went out into the middle of the pit to croon one of the more ballad-y songs which was great
Third time in a year for a relatively niche american band to come to the UK, a rare thing to happen, hope they come back again soon. Seem like a genuinely good bunch

I believe they're supporting Dillinger and Car Bomb in NY in a week or two, which is an absolutely insane lineup

Yeah I feel like these guys have been touring practically nonstop since this came out, glad I caught them with Rolo Tomassi a while ago

They brought huge energy to their Download set yesterday and I got to see Star Baby live which just made me so goddamn happy.

I'll be going to the Baltimore show. Ottobar should be a crazy venue for them since it's small and there's no guardrail in front of the stage.

I guess I must be deaf. Saw this band live and thought they were absolutely atrocious

yeah some good shit, funny that we were just talking about if the ep tracks were any good live

Waco does have a better energy when played live (though Carson struggles with some of the clean vocals).
For Designer, they cut out the Pulses. feature and just play a much shorter version of the breakdown in that part.

Audiotree performance was good ya

i've said it before but i don't really like them playing star baby mid-set. playing other (mostly lesser) songs after that ending just feels weird.
and if they want to open with i get it but they should just play the first half and save the second for later idk. if i were putting together their setlists it would always be last or at least second to last.

Your expectation of them playing Star Baby last is probably the reason they don't...

well in my humble opinion i think they'd be better off... not(!)... subverting their audience's expectations like that and just putting on the best show possible?
i guess i just don't see how playing that song (as of late) third in their set achieves that. maybe despite being their best/most popular song it doesn't go over as well live as their more breakdown centric stuff when playing mostly support sets?

Good set list would be:
Violent Astrology
Fake Dinosaur Bones
Pushing the Pink Envelope
A Brief Article Regarding Time Loops
BlackBerry DeLorean
Designer Shroud of Turin
Field Sobriety Practice
Title Track
Star Baby

Good set list would include Field Sobriety Practice, but they remain committed to pretending that song doesn't exist for some reason
