Imagine lacking the self-awareness to call someone else out for being sensitive.

I just don't understand how someone can objectively give this below a 2. It's understandable if it's totally not for you, but they played their asses off and wrote the best music they could, it appears.

I'm not the least bit upset if someone hates this, but it seems like a lot of people tossing 1s on it haven't even listened to it

Hyping up a 2.5 - 3 album at best to 4 or 5 is bound to attract haters. I mean, I was one of those who listened to this multiple times just to see what all the fuss is about, and, objectively, this material is in no ways near a 4.5, let alone a 5.

There's a few moments when the band picks up, (Reptile, Chvrch Burner, Satellites) but those are seriously damaged by over-repetition(Chvrch Burner) and that ending of Satellites that just made me wonder if this is really nothing more than a meme material to the band themselves, too. Seriously, ending a good song with that kind of remark? And I am supposed to take them seriously when they "engage" in their music?

Totally not suspicious at all.

Imagine being such a shitty user that you have to create an alt just to actually talk about music.

"I just don't understand how someone can objectively give this below a 2. It's understandable if it's totally not for you, but they played their asses off and wrote the best music they could, it appears. "

maybe because they're one-dimensional and that djun djundununun single-tone riffing can get really old really quick and it doesn't matter if someone "plays their all" if their songwriting abilities aren't up to snuff? I doubt this is a 1.5 but def max 2.5.

@zaru: I wouldn't call it at all one-dimensional when songs like Crush and It's Only Smiles exist, but I'll definitely agree that that argument you're responding to is pretty trash.
