Yeah technically it’s “untitled”.
|

nobody debating that... it's also practically never referred to as such

Maybe this name can be technically acceptable but I never heard call it before this way. I know the name of this album as "Led Zeppelin IV", "Four Symbols" or even, the less common, "Zoso", as the reviwer mentioned. But I never heard to call it "Untitled".
Oh well. This is probably a very small thing compared with this great album.

That’s the problem here. Is it really wrong?? No. But I don’t care somebody fix it!!

Well I guess sput should change all albums to the popular name. Let’s start with Metallica - Metallica; I have only heard it referred to as “Black Album”

Not being like anything, I have only referred to it as IV, 4 or Fourth. So in actuality, I am in agreement with everyone as to how this album is commonly known. Where I disagree with you is in databasing and cataloging.

If we are going to that road we have a problem. Maybe we need to change an amount of titles of albums, such as:

"Yes" from Yes.
Despite this be a really huge list, this is only a very small part of the albums listed without a proper name. These are my imediate names in my data base. These are all albums listed on Sputnik.
So, I think we are going by a dangerous and wrong road. One day we may see all these names and many others changed to "Untitled". Is there any logical on this?
|
| |
don't be so pedantic eoin, sputnik is not some comprehensive database

I'm not pedantic. Sputnik is a database of music as many others but don't need to invent and be different from the others in relation to change the names usually accepted by the majority.
|
| |
"Fancy jamming some of that sweeeeet Led Zeppelin, 'Untitled'."
...is a sentence spoken by many people the world over.
