His screams were so fucking good live on that recording for Julia

gotta be honest, not feeling Michael as much as everyone else... could have replaced the last two tracks with August 6th and Cities of the Plain respectively and it would have been an easy 5. As much as I love Bethlehem, WV it just doesn't seem to fit anywhere comfortably for me.

yikes...whenever someone says to replace New Wine/Skins and Michael I feel a sharp pain stab through my chest
those are two of the best songs and Michael is my 2nd favorite mwY ever and damn close to being my favorite ever

ready to make this bold proclamation: this is better than B,S and CFUTF
Most won't agree and I already know that, but even when I first heard B,S it didn't dominate my listening habits for 1+ month straight (with no end in sight)
I tried to listen to Brand New after this and couldn't, just turned it off and played Wendy & Betsy for the 5th time today; throwing my voice out while screaming the second half
there's just NOTHING like this and I love it

This is their best album, there isn't a doubt in my mind. B,S comes damn close tho

How could this be the only thing you're listening to when the new Cursive album is a thing that exists?

I dig the new Cursive too, I have it 4.5'd ffs
I just can't rip myself away from this no matter how good anything else is, and there are like 5 releases in the last 2 weeks that would otherwise dominate my rotation

New Cursive is decent. This is next level though.

Nothing is ever going to top B,S for me, but this and Pale Horses are in a ferocious battle for second.

lol remember that one time we all tried to not get too hype about this just in case we were a little disappointed?
I can see this being tied with B,S, but that record was just way too important to my development and shit to just be completely dethroned.

and yeah, I feel bad for the four other albums that I’d normally go nuts for right now bc in the middle of listening to them I’m just thinking “I’m stoked for this to be over so I can listen to Untitled” lol

I'd say 75-80% of my listening time now is spent alternating between this and Vitriola.

I'd say it has a good chance of surpassing B,S as well. I've been spending time away from it these last few days so I don't wear it out but urgh, it's hard. I love this thing so much.

Agreed.

I really have a lot of albums I haven't listened to properly. But this album is gonna be a feature for a while...
I've found that when I enjoy an album this much, it's damn hard for it to wear out...
