When this one came out, I found it very underwhelming, and it was under my radar for years. Strangely, their new LP has put this into context, the songs resonate with me so much better now. Opener & closer are amazing, late night music indeed!

This is vintage Slowdive, excellent album (and especially for a long awaited comeback)

Almost a five if it wasn’t for a couple songs I didn’t enjoy. This album fucking wails overall though

Yeah, I have 4 Slowdive albums at 4.5, all just a notch away from perfection. Amazing band, wish I’d catch them live.

I recently finished this discog and this is far from their best album but goddamn Slomo is just too good.
@gabba tickets still available for their London date next year

@mouldypigeon thanks, I wasn’t aware they’ll be on tour in Europe next year! London may be a bit out of reach right now, but I’ll check the tickets for France or Germany. That’d be awesome.

Everything Is Alive was the comeback I needed / this should have been. It wasn't a revolution but the vibes were night and day to me
clearly defined tiers of...
Pyg / Souvlaki > S/T (EP) > many of the other EPs / JFAD / Alive > this
