tones are dogshit, drums sound cheap and vapid, dude's vocals are the same dogshit fake UK rock shtick they've always been, except with about 10 more years of cigs down, and you cannot tell me anything about these lyrics, themes explored within the album, or instrumental compositions, are in ANY sense intriguing. it sounds like growing up on radio pop rock and punk and, it sounds like a lack of inspiration (I mean jesus christ thick as thieves sounds like it could be ripped straight off the new blink 182 album), it sounds like smoking cigs and drinking to look cool.

I disagree whole heartedly (obviously). The vocals don't even remotely correlate to a UK accent, if anything there's an irish and/or scottish influence so that makes zero sense. Greg isn't a big smoker, so you obviously don't know the members.

It's an album revolved around wishing you could go back in time and relive the good times and not have to grow up. I'm not sure how that constitutes as boring as it's fairly relatable.

I don't get how it sounds like "smoking cigs and drinking to look cool" I mean that's a pretty common theme in most rock music I don't think it makes them stick out as being cool. Also none of the lyricism comes off pretentious or cocky in any form so the "cool" claim doesn't make sense. If anything the lyricism is comes off as self bashing or losing confidence because of age.

You're entitled to your opinion but I just find your rating a bit harsh, personally.

"The vocals don't even remotely correlate to a UK accent, if anything there's an irish and/or scottish influence so that makes zero sense." forgive me, my geography is genuinely bad, don't know what's what over there because I'm an ignorant yank.

"Greg isn't a big smoker, so you obviously don't know the members." taking jokes seriously aiight

"It's an album revolved around wishing you could go back in time and relive the good times and not have to grow up. also never implied the lyrics were pretentious or cocky, I implied that they're desperate to seem cool and uninspired. seriously, you cannot tell me a chorus like the one in lookers is anything of substance

and yet through all of that you still failed to mention the fact that this album is pop rock structure 101, pop rock tone 201, and bland dick city usa.

its catchy in the way a "the middle" is. hollow, shallow, vague lyricism to appeal to the lowest common denominator and a layman's melody to do none but the same, all over jangle, over-yetstillunder-produced sounding, jangle rock instrumentation. fuck god fuck I hate even thinking about this album
