don't care for the personal hurdles of the band as long as the output is solid.

@jeff

all these kids need to do is watch some of the footage from as late as the wherever we may roam performances.....they were still a unified group with a modest attitude to go with it.....to hear comments that James was arrogant or cocky back in those days or even earlier, compared to now, is simply ignorance

i know you know cause you were there!

Not sure how you can watch Binge&Purge or Cunning Stunts and say he wasn't "arrogant" or "cocky" at all back then and is now.

yea, that doesn't make sense. James was arrogant af back then, even he says that. their egos were going crazy since the late 80s, and they seem actually pretty chill/wise nowadays, even kinda boring. rehab changed James a lot. maybe I wasn't alive back in their ajfa/black days, but I don't think there's a footage of the band from that era available which I haven't seen, I even read their biography years ago (I was an obnoxious fanboy back then lol), and to say metallica was "modest" at the time... I'm not sure what are you basing that on, Titan. maybe I misunderstood what you meant by that.

i guess you had to be there

and cunning stunts was recorded in the late 90's which is when the change was rather evident....binge and purge was after the guns n roses tour just like ive been saying as well

you go back to wherever we may roam, justice tour, and even before then - no contest

but hey, we see it how we see it....im just telling you all how it was, take it or leave it haha

The way I see it, from the band's inception to Newsted joining the band, James was soft spoken. Then around the Damaged Justice tour he got real outgoing and all over the place, and after rehab, he got pretty chilled out like Spirit said.
