stunning realization: had to focus on the vocals and then everything else melts away. figured out that if i dont focus on the vocals i can't get into the song because im too busy on letting the soundscapes do the work, but they're not supposed to. they're a backdrop for bjork and not vice versa.

yeah, that's the funny thing. when i listened a few years ago all i could focus on were the sounds, because the sounds themselves were so beautiful they distracted me. like subconsciously i was trying to live in the soundscapes instead of bjork lmao
can't blame me i was 17 and looking for music to depersonalize to. i have come a long way. i still have a long way to go
