It's usually written 23rd, but it reminded me of seeing a picture of this trophy a while ago that said 3st and someone used it as a reaction to mean 'thirst' and I like that joke.

Haha, sorry. I probably shouldn't voice random thoughts out of context on the internet.

It doesn't sound even remotely like Killswitch, but it is pretty lame.

I don't really get the hate for the intro, though.

I honestly think it's better than mostly everything on this and Heritage.

Why can't Nuclear Blast produce for shit? Hearing an Opeth album not produced by Wilson kinda sucks.

Is it even that heavy though? It's only lightly overdriven and it's just some chunky palm muting on the lowest string. I mean I enjoy the riff but it honestly doesn't seem that heavy unless you only compare it to Heritage and PC.

I liked the melody introduced at the end, but I hoped it would develop into something more as it goes on. didn't happen. I don't even think the song is bad, it's just a flatline.

well that is what everyone is doing. after those two albums, everything sounds heavy.

edit: in terms of the guitar tone I mean. Heritage actually had some heavy parts.

I do like the song songwriting wise but the 'oooo it's damn HEAVY' kinda praises it's getting is kinda dumb.

The rest of the song is literally what PC, Heritage and some of Watershed did and 2 of those albums were mostly hated by the old Opeth fans.

The ending of Folklore, for example.
