idk caleb i think it's pretty mature, at least i found the concept of using religious catharsis (the ending improv) pretty brilliant in terms of composition. you have a whole song that's describes why stephen's faith was tested and then boom! there's that catharsis to let you know that no, he didn't give up on his faith, and no *fin isn't anti-religious at its core

That's what I was trying to say the other day. The song is personal to me having gone through exactly what's described by Christian so I know to say it is anti religion is missing the point completely.

yeah, i mean the lyrics are anti-religion (the institution anyways, def not anti-god) at their core, but the essence of the song isn't that at all
