What the fuck Rody? The lyrics on this thing is what makes it half as good Fortress and Kezia,

seriously, some of the lyrics are half-assed like he came up with them just because they had to

release the album, damn. Edit: I take it back.

I got the deluxe CD but I kinda regret it. Should have went for the vinyl instead.

Apparently a new album is coming this summer. The band is releasing a big announcement either this week or next week about it.

I really hope they return to form with this album, like Fortress and Kezia combined, Scurrilous was great, but it underwhelmed me and it didn't have those memorable moments to the extent the others did. What they're doing is amazing though, and if it goes through (it better because I just paid 45 dollars for the vinyl) it will change the music industry in a big way.

Isn't this one of the first times a bigger band has done it though?

I know bands like Radiohead and Gorillaz released free albums and you could choose to pay for them but didn't have to. I don't know any mid-card or main event bands that asked for.fans to fund the making of the record.

I wouldn't really say they're one of "the bigger bands"...

Pretty much everyone I know tells me they're just Between The Buried and Me, 'cept not as good.

(I've never heard anything by them, so I can't judge)

Eh, some of the riffs they play are similar and they're both influenced by Queen. But Protest definitely got the Maiden thing going on which btbam don't at all.

idk from what I've heard they seem like another version of them

They seem to have the same flaws from what people tell me(Seeming unability to write songs, passages with ridiculous technically that would teenagers cream themselves but that make almost no sense in a compositional way, a vocalist that no one likes, etc)
