It's not all about the different instruments and effects you can squeeze into a song to me, it's about how good of a song you can write and play.

If I were to tack on a few more songs that I think are decent, it would be the 3 you posted though.

Separator and Give Up The Ghost are worth listening to.

This album ranges from 'oh, that was cool' to 'huh, that's different' to 'what the hell?' to 'bloody fuck, that's terrible.'

And Lotus Flower was good. So screw you.

No, Lotus Flower wasn't good because it was a 5-minute absolute jumble of repetitive beats and annoying vocals. Radiohead had never been good because they constantly copy the same damn beat and vocal range from Thom Yorke, completely losing any kind of actual surprise or nostalgia found in the second, third, and fourth albums. And spamming it for twelve tracks lacks a chance of fucking imagination, one thing Radiohead lacked after Amnesiac.

You're kidding right?

So, how can you enjoy The Bends, but hate Hail to the Thief (which, to me, is brilliant) and In Rainbows (just slightly less so). Seriously, get a sense of humor. Radiohead's not supposed to make sense. That's what makes them good.

you either have a very slim grasp of the concepts of "beat" and "range" or you have actually never listened to Radiohead

who cares? Radiohead lost their creativity the minute Kid A was thrown out. Now the falsetto voice is just irritating and the instruments on this album make me want to puke.

Creative doesn't always mean good Demi, but they have made some good accomplishments, like the use of digital downloading, Hail to the Thief, In Rainbows, even making a Best Of album.

Radiohead didn't make a best of album, a record label did. If it actually was the bands decision, it would easily be one of their worst.

A best of Radiohead? Seriously? Just go buy any album of theirs and you'll be far better off.

And Radiohead has done plenty of great work since Kid A

and Qwe, I was responding to "thom's voice as a jumping off point, all 3 blend together elements of all kinds of electronic genres" as it seemed he was pushing the idea that more sources or "elements" makes for better music. Maybe I responded the wrong way hah

it isn't the fact that they blended elements of electronic genres, it's that they used their style to elevate previous sounds to new and unique heights (aka they took lots of cool old stuff and made it better)

or, as i said before, these songs 'create a euphoric sigh that brings the quality of this album to another level'. if you want more details about why i feel these songs are great, read the review i wrote on this album rather than assuming that innovation is the only thing i value in music.

The amount of retardation spewed out on page 81 is astounding. It's alright aokuneff....I too do not understand the dislike/indifference towards this album. I think it's great.

Don't get the dislike for this album. This is Radiohead trying to be Radiohead. I still find that Lotus Flower is one of the weakest tracks here but I find the video funny

Speaking of undeserved hate, your Dig Nigel is too..
