I think people were too quick to judge this album. It has slowly become one of my favorites. My heart melts every time I hear the lead guitar at the end of The Watcher's Monolith.

Yeah I agree with Hyperion. I rarely listen to music with headphones unless I am forced to, I'd rather listen on my computer speakers which are 5.1.

I think that sputnikkers were expecting this to be a full fledged post-rock album, and when the blast beat + tremolo riff from 'Into The Painted Grey" kicked in, they peed their little pants and decided to bash it.

Nihil Totem's pretty |3 The Weight of Darkness is just another version of They Escaped... go figure, but it's nice to listen to I guess
