The working title was apparently "Horizons" which would have been sooooo much better.

Flawless album regardless tho

new album's cover seems very similar from an aesthitic perspective to this oil painting, by Nigel Van Wieck:

Yeah the new album cover seems so amateurish.

"It's a continuation on their ''A Fine Day to Exit'' character."

Did they mention that in the post? I didn't read that on fb

I hate the new logo font but otherwise dig the cover. it does seem oddly simple for a Travis Smith cover, though.

@Hell: I like that the cover feels mysterious, but it should have been off a higher quality Imo. I liked the old logo, even though it was practically times New Roman, it had a classic feel to it

New album cover look like it signals a total reinvention - at this stage that's what's required. Bodes well.

@Omair In an interview I read that the inspiration came from the cover of ''A Fine Day to Exit''. The thought was what had happened to the character that is implied on that picture. Where did he go? What was his life after the incident at the beach? etc.

definitely not a reinvention, but i really like it. reminds me a lot of a natural disaster.

Nice song but I miss buying a new Anathema and not knowing how it will sound. These guys have become as predictable as Running Wild. At least they are writing good music.

Agreed manosg, it's a very safe song. And they've played this song live already,so it isn't that much of a surprise to me. The production and mix sounded good during the mellow part, but then feels too compressed and indistinct during the heavier section unfortunately. They really need to change their producer

Good to see John back on the drums

Oh damn, just saw the track list. There's a 11 minute track at the end. Hoping it's not like Temporary peace where half is the song, while the other half is like silence or whatever bull shit

I'm actually kinda hyped for it. I just hope they don't further continue the direction of DS

Distant Satellites had some great songs on it, though.
