they're all brilliant in their own ways
alligator is undoubtedly the most youthful, with a sort of gloomy, fuck-it-we're-kids type attitude.
boxer is the transitioning stage, which is why it's the emotional and hard-hitting.
high violet isn't exactly a resolution, but it's ultimately coming to terms with ones environment and maturity. musically it's also the most mature.

well i mean you know i like my music emotive generally
but honestly it isn't that different from High Violet, in fact it's a lot more energetic than high violet in most instances.

Boxer took me awhile to get into. Alligator is still taking its time for me. And this one, well every aspect of it seems a lot more evolved. And terrible love is easily their best song
