Either you feel this album or you don't. It's subjective... jerkoffs. Those complaining about mangum's voice (which seems to be the main criticism of this album these last 13 years) must be the same assholes that complain about dylan, waits, and cohen's voices too. What do you fools listen to if you're so worried about perfect voices? Mariah Carey? Josh Groban? Enya?
If pretty voices mean so much why isn't joan baez as revered as the aforementioned zimmerman?

Finally got around to listening to this. I really, really liked it. Not a 5, though.
The one album that immediately came to mind while listening to this was Illinois by Sufjan Stevens. (Ignoring the fact that Illinois is MUCH better than this.)
