Had stayed for an insanely long time before listening to this. It still rules

Musically I like it, but lyrically wtf guys. You can write about some other things.

Yeah the story was great for two albums but now it's...far too drawn out and unneeded. Musically though I'm p stoked for the album based on the two tracks I heard.

Enjoyed this much more than I was expecting for some reason, meaning I’m not sure why this wasn’t on my radar sooner, or why I half-expected to be underwhelmed.

Maybe because you heard Empty Days and decided not to bother with the rest? Because that's what happened to me at first.

well if you've read anything about this band, they are one of the most annoyingly stagnant bands ever. But if you are checking them out for the first time, this is 100% the right place to start cause this album rules, and if you dug this check out the Lost Ground EP as well, cause that rules too, but then you can probably stop check out anything after that.

I did my research, never heard a thing by these guys before, therefore I wanted to start here and also check the EP (which I will, most likely tomorrow).

Apart from anything else this is just a fun album, melodic but still suitably heavy & surprisingly catchy without sounding throwaway, or gimmicky.

Indeed rules. I saw Jay at the Have Heart show a few days ago. Pretty cool.

been jamming this and Lost Ground a lot lately

it's insane just how stellar the band was here and on Lost Ground then just nosedived off a cliff

It’s almost impressive how quickly they seemed to stop giving a fuck. Except their drummer. That dude slays.

Really need to listen to this album more. Always enjoyed Defeater, but mainly listened to Lost Ground and Empty Days & Sleepless Nights. This goes really hard too. Fuck, Forgiver Forgetter goes too hard.

Basically Lost Ground, Empty Days, and this are essential Defeater. I could leave everything afterwards, save a few songs. Like Bastards and Rabbit Foot are up there with their best.
