I don't think Waters sacrificed the quality of the music as such, that's a bit harsh. I think he just tried to write too many songs in too short a time, and even for Waters that was too much and it led to a fair few mediocre songs. I do agree about most of the best tracks being co-written by Gilmour though, that's truth.

In the Flesh, Another Brick in the Wall, Hey You and Waiting for the Worms were all written by Waters on his own and they are all damn classics to me

Yeah true, it's not like Waters didn't produce some fantastic ones by himself. But pretty much every mediocre song on here is also solely by Waters, whereas Comfortably Numb is by Gilmour mostly and well.... it's Comfortably Numb.

well obviously Comfortably Numb is the song here but i think all of the songs are interesting and never fall into mediocrity. some of them may seem a little fillers because they are like one minute long but for me they all add something to the concept
