I always forget how epic this album is. Especially Alter of Sacrifice, that song hits me so hard.

This album deserves the acclaim and praise it's gotten for a reason. Darkness Descends and Pleasure To Kill may have been faster and dirtier, maybe even more developed in some cases, but this album is historically significant and is extremely memorable. Anyone can pick their favorite song or section of the record and have a good reason for it, and it would be hard to disagree.

i grew up on dark angel somewhat and i insist that this album is better than either of those.

I think it deserves more than what it is getting. Its the best album of the 80's, and that is saying something.

I feel anyone who can back up their reasoning for their favorite album among the '1986 unholy trio' is hard to disagree with, but there's no denying the historical significance of Reign In Blood considering how RIB came first.

Great statement, but in the realm of thrash metal, I'd take Bonded By Blood over this tbh.
