Still shocked by Noctus

mantle might be a little (like sliiiiiiightly) overrated but it's still right up there with folklore, with this as imo by far the best.

i'd have to say pale folklore is my least fav. it just hasn't hit me the way the other albums have. its slowly growing on me though. i don't necessarily agree, but i can see where you're coming from about the mantle

Pale Folklore is the best.

idk for me that album has far less of a 'progression', it's fantastic but it feels too much like a compilation of similar songs rather than a progressive piece
which is fine, it's just not what i prefer :]

Noctus, persuade me why I should get Marrow
|
| |
it's amazing, the hate for it is unbelievable, and makes no sense. It's SO GOOD
|
| |
Yeah, I can believe that, but what makes it amazing?

Never having listened to any Agalloch before is the only way I could conceivably see Marrow sounding
amazing.
|
| |
this is your first Agalloch listen, feanaro?
If you think it's awesome now, wait until fall and winter. You'll long to hear it.
|
| |
it has a perfect atmosphere, and it has a more evolved sense of heaviness which seperates it from other agalloch albums. also ditto about winter, agalloch is perfect for that
