These guys were massive down here when AFD broke (can't believe it's almost 30 years old). There was nothing else on TV/radio other than Sweet Child, or Paradise.. at the time (they were being hailed as "the greatest rock band of all time" from some quarters...after one album...). AFD had far more attitude, balls & substance than anything else out of LA at the time, namely hair/glam.......ugggh!...and they scored extra points in my book for their role in less airplay of Poison, Warrant....etc.
I DO like the album, but don't find it great as most. I find Rose's vocal grating after a while.
