He's been to many types of shows, but no true death metal. It's time for him to get the full experience and Immolation is MASTERFUL live. Got to see them with Blood Incantation in 2019.

Immo were massive when I saw em in 2023 w Bogg. I couldn't get into Cattle Decap who headlined but I'm not that familiar w em in general

Cattle Decap is cool, I've seen them a few times cuz I had friends who were into them, and typically they'd tour with at least one band I liked a lot. But I can't really get into them beyond that.
But Immolation is insane live for sure. Saw them in 2022 and by far one of the best live shows I've been to (and I've been to a ton). I assumed they'd do a tour this year for their new album, but I didn't know about The Godless IV tour, which is def Behemoth headlining. Still worth going though. I'm guessing they'll do a headliner at the end of the year or beginning of next year idk.

To be sure the lineup is fire, I've never been big on Behemoth but maybe they'll be great live, seems like the type of band that would be. I really like (some) Deicide and Rotting Christ is pretty solid so I'm sure I'll have a good time no matter what order the bands open in.

damn, you really know how to set it up ford
true tho, as I'm beginning to appreciate this era in ways I hadn't quite previously. Possibly my fave Immo for now altho I'm trying to fill in some gaps. Failure for Gods is doing rather well considering it's new to me, I must say

"Failure for Gods is doing rather well considering it's new to me, I must say"
FFG rules, definitely doesn't get the love it deserves, probably mostly because of the production.
I was gonna say it's their most underrated album, but that title definitely goes to Shadows in the Light.

Agreed with everything you just said Hex bro. Shadows is so amazing. Harnessing Ruin is super underrated too imo.

Hell yeah, Shadows is awesome. Honestly I gotta jam Harnessing Ruin again soon. I've neglected that one compared to the rest of their albums, especially cuz I like their more recent stuff so much, especially Acts of God.
But def underrated. So is KoC honestly. That one gets the most hate but I actually enjoy that one a lot. I do wish it had production more like Atonement, or even the Providence EP.

the production ruins KoC, it would be great if it got a remaster and sounded more like the surrounding records

Yeah when I thought about it I was gonna say I thought their most underrated album was atonement. Album kills from start to finish. But so does shadows and shadows' avg is quite a bit lower than atonement

For sure yeah Atonement is underrated too.
@KoC I understand people's gripe with the production, but honestly it's never bothered me. It's not my favorite, like I def wish it sounded more like Atonement or something, but I can still enjoy it. Seeing those songs live is a whole different thing though lol
