I think it's funny that Fantano gave this album a super positive review and then bashed all of her other albums, and yet I hear virtually no difference between any of her records up to this point. I mean, I guess there are some stylistic deviations here and there (I suppose you wouldn't hear Venice Bitch on one of her early albums), but still... lol

@div That seems to be the consensus on this album and I agree it's totally bizarre

Lana is a true 3.5/5 artist for me across the board. Very solid music, and I can really get into it if I'm in the mood, but nothing really fantastic

Though I guess it's worth noting that I used to have Born to Die at a 4.5/5 way back when... for whatever reason, I was completely enamored with it when it first came out

Songs like the title track and The Greatest are far better than any of her other stuff

the vibe I've always gotten from Lana is that she simultaneously wants to be like,,, Lorde and Michael Buble at the same time and tbh I think she should just pick one or the other
Either be a boring retro artist or a cool indie chick, u can't have both

To be fair, Lorde is pretty boring too.

The chronology says that Lorde wanted to be Lana

The new one is so bad, makes this one sound vital

@Egarran: the difference is that Lorde did it a hell of a lot better than Lana
