Xeno has written more than his fair share of well-considered reviews; if he wants to brick on an album for being trash, I have zero issue

Part of me wants to think that "it was sort of boring but not offensively so" isn't the type of comment you'd expect from someone who hates an album enough to give it a 0.5, but what do I know ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I blew so hard when that breakdown at 10:11 kicked in Reptile, damn, there I go again. This is a solid album, Periphery has honestly risen above djent on this one and become a proper fully-fledged prog band. The guitars are chunky AF on this record, still sometimes that digitally dry djent tone can be heard on some of the tracks, but this album slaps so hard.

I wouldn't be surprised if Periphery continues down this path and ends up becoming a Between The Buried and Me inspired band writing those long lengthy tracks more often. At times this album felt like Periphery, but others it felt like Dillinger Escape Plan (Chvrch Burner) and Between The Buried and Me.
