It's a genuine attempt to broaden my horizons. I'm trying to find new mediums. And I've already found stuff I like thats adjacent to this...its just more post-bm/blackgaze more than straight up bm altho I did like In the Nightside Eclipse. Sounded a lot fuller than this. Hell so did the first Mayhem if I'm being honest.

I feel like Hawks is being disingenuous when he claims i only listen to A7X/MCR style stuff because he's forgetting that I've gained a massive respect for styles like post-rock/post-metal, stuff with a heavy emphasis on atmosphere but is still well produced. Its just this lo fi buzzsaw stuff I'm having trouble with. But damn it I'm trying.

Like as much as I get what you're saying, my taste would be so much narrower than it is now if I didn't try to push myself a bit. It's rewarding when you discover a bunch of stuff you end up really liking when venturing out into the previously unknown waters. But then sometimes it's a mind numbing experience where you feel completely lost. That's where this lands for me. Even if there wasn't the Nazi shit, I don't really get it.
