Flee and Tortoises are in the top 5, how in the world can you not hear the passion in that sinister and operatic 2ND chorus and that absolutely fucking electric drone guitar strike outro

Both are highlights of the album for me. I have no idea how I’d rank these tracks.

Tortoise is an absolute stunner. New Wine is desperate to find a place among my top 5 as well.

Winter Solstice is such a pretty song, reminds me a bit of Funeral-era Arcade Fire

There is so much punctuation in these song titles

New Wine, New Skins is tops for me

The riff that comes back in @3:45 is just so huge, one of my fave mwY moments ever

I think my favourite run is from 9:27a.m. to Break on Through...

Jokes aside, I think my top five are:

- Wendy & Betsy

- Michael

- Julia

- Hydra

- [dormouse sighs]

Break on Through is by far the most forgettable but that strikes me as partly the point? That and 2,459 Miles strike me as the weakest here, but they're still good.

those are my 5 favorites as well (although new wine/new skins is tied with hydra)

Every time I listen though, my favourites are the one I'm listening to; the one before; and the one I'm waiting for next. Which is a testament to the excellence of them all in context.

New Wine/New Skins is excellent, but I'm not sure it resonates with me as much as some of the others, which is a shame.

Wendy and Betsy has grown on me massively as of late (ALL JOKING ASIDE, FIVE FINGERS WIDE), but Flee, Thou Matadors is by far the biggest grower of the whole lot for me. I'm forming an addiction to that second refrain.

Also - some glorious soul posted the complete audio of the band's second concert this tour and both the audio quality and the band's performance is superb.

Flee is definitely a grower. I can't get enough of the (is it technically a chorus?) and the solo at the end is insane.

Wow hearing Aaron lose his shit on Julia in those live recordings is devastating

I'm not listening to it again until I see them myself next month but I'm definitely tempted. The B,S cuts from that show just pop.

Yeah I only listened to the live recording of Julia, and that was so incredible that I stopped so I can just experience it in a few weeks.
