after all the hype, i feel like this kinda just came and went. at least as far as sputdik is concerned. still good though

Lol what do you mean, 2 threads for the album are still getting bumped almost daily. Yeah the hype has died down since it was released but I wouldn't say SF "came and went".

Yeah 137 is great. Waste is probably the best thing on here. Batter Up is awesome as well, don't see as many talking about that track.

batter up rules. beautiful way to go out on. i was at first underwhelmed by the lack of a real climax, but honestly that makes the song much more effective as their swansong.

no control is the only somewhat subpar cut and it's still at least a 3/5

I just think Out of Mana is great and nothing can change my mind

Yeah honestly it blows my mind that anyone likes waste or same logic. the chorus of waste blows, and same logic is haphazard and amateurish.

I do like a few tracks here a lot - Lit me up, 137, Batter up. But Daisy is the much better album.

same logic has never felt that haphazard to me. if anything all of the change ups work really well due to the context of the song

It's my unswaying opinion that there is not a subpar song on the entire album (including No Control). The worst song here is like a 3/5 and most of them are 3.7-4.3-territory. There's no Limousine or Jesus 5-caliber stuff either; The closest this record comes for me is In The Water (which I maintain is a top-10 BN track) closely followed by Lit Me Up. Can't Get It Out is a solid 4.5/5 emo-punk banger as well. I think the consistency in terms of style and quality speaks to their maturity as a band that is now decades into its career.

137 and same logic are both unquestionably in my top 5 brand new songs

they are up there for me too...for me the brilliance of 137 comes in its imagery and lyrics (of course that solo doesn't hurt either) - I've always viewed it as their version of mwY's Rainbow Signs.

Same Logic is great too but I kinda get why some people aren't into it. 137 is a god damn masterpiece though.

Could Never Be Heaven grew on me immensely. It's a beautiful little candle-lit ballad.

yeah the closest thing to a bad song here is No Control and it's still pretty okay.
