i mean, honestly it came off like he had gone into the thing with a huge chip on his shoulder

i don't really get that impression from his reviews much but it was certainly one where i felt like i hadn't listened to the same album he was talking about

I started watching his review and then realized I needed to create my own opinion first. I'm glad this album is a little weird. Is it predictably Deftones? At times yes, but it does a nice enough job of also surprising.

Nah that's pretty dope. Despite the fact that you're not a fan, the man's a talented singer, and him acknowledging music in other (and significantly contrasting) genres than the one he falls into is cool... Well I think so anyway.
