Level 3 Bjork Jammolier here, you can learn to appreciate but it helps to be born with a certain Bjork genome. They found that fairly recently in the mapping project

Biophilia is pretty great it just has some really questionable instrumentation choices and production, Volta is kinda mid but not awful, Vulnicura is like a more boring Vespertine (but still really good) and Utopia is like Skyrim tavern songs + Bjork which for me personally is a winning combination

I liked the first song from Utopia, even if it was more of an "idea" than a song maybe. could be chalked up to arca too

but thats like all I know hahaha, I think the second song from Utopia probably turned me off, cant imagine I turned it off for no reason after "arisen my senses" banged that hard

"Biophilia is a snooze it just has some really questionable instrumentation choices and production, Volta is a total snooze and awful, Vulnicura is like a more boring Vespertine (but still a snooze) and Utopia is like Skyrim tavern songs + a snooze which for me personally is a winning combination"

Its like she started over compensating for the fact that her vocal performances have become so vapid and one-dimensional over time with these big questionable production risks that rarely pay off mostly because (full circle now) her vocal performances have become too vapid and one-dimensional to elevate them

She's stuck in purgatory. Her singing. The very thing that propelled her to fame will be be her undoing. She's really good at exactly one thing. I'm personally tired of it. The depressive smothering atmosphere of her vocal performances is e x h a u s t i n g
