For my money this might be the single most perfect record I've ever heard. I cannot find a single flaw with it. Instrumentation is godlike, vocals are amazing, songwriting is ridiculously good, it's emotional in places and face crushing in others. Production is awesome. It doesn't overstay its welcome. This might be the only record I would ever give a 6/5.

my only real gripe is the complete lack of personality to the lyrics. it's all pseudo-poetic mumbo jumbo about THE CHIILDREEEENNNN and...idk, loss of innocence or something.

except when Tim's violin string exploded on Saturday and they just turned the middle of Libera into a jam sesh, but then again, that was a slick save so they didn't miss a beat there either.

I was actually really interested to see how they handled it -- visual communication between band members, creating a loop in the song on a whim to give Tim time to restring his instrument, what they said to the crowd afterward, etc. something to watch and learn from.

the harshs and a lot of the chaotic instrumentation on here is still terrible
while there are sections of absolute beauty too, mainly the ones with violin and only sparse accompanyment, overall this album fails to impress.
