Lol, I don’t give a crap about objectivity, if I did then I’m pretty sure I could hit 100 with no issues. This simply isn’t what I want to hear in ‘DM’, too close to meandering 70s prog for my liking.

"This simply isn’t what I want to hear in ‘DM’, too close to meandering 70s prog for my liking."

that's fair, but the best thing about this is that it doesn't sound like something people usually look for in dm

I was quite excited to hear this, the whole psych-influenced DM thing is usually a hit with me, this just went a little too far into prog territory for my liking and I wasn’t convinced by the song development. I enjoy the recent albums by Horrendous, Blood Incantation and Venenum (which all had psych elements, some more than others), those ones felt like they retained what makes DM so exciting.

Yeah, not sure why everyone was so nuts over this, I remember thinking it was boring as all hell. Might revisit it again but I spun it twice when it released and was completely underwhelmed

Yeah idk I'm just not a slut for every metal album that gets praised on here. Most of them are painfully average

@Jac: is it different from Black Death Horizon or Centopath then?

Gyro, to be fair it’s the same with every genre, that’s not exclusive to metal.

"Most of them are painfully average" not this one tho.

I always try to validate that praise with my personal taste and some external outputs ;) I like metal (but not only) and like to get why ppl love something in here. Your opinnions matter to me guys, but maily the positive ones.

BTW sweet rates on Refused SoPtC and CTS m/

I wouldn't mind if these guys dropped another album soon.

"is it different from Black Death Horizon or Centopath then?"

A little bit, yeah. Less hardcore punk, more doom and sludgier production. Still same old Obliteration, though, so if you dug their other albums you'll no doubt like it too.

Nocte, I've got some bad news for you.

Yeah I’m not head-over-heels for Obliteration, but I do dig BDH. I’ll be checking Howls of Ebb next I reckon.

I’m always sad these guys broke up whenever I listen to this. Anyone know if the members are involved in any new projects?
