eh, I'm not losing any sleep over it.
we'll always have Sound Awake which is a hard 5, Themata bangs too.
if they limp a new album out and call it quits after that, then that's just icing on the cake.
this album though? it's like there being a single M&M in a handful of Skittles you pop in your mouth. not bad on it's own, but compared to everything else it's bleh

Yeah they really should call it quits after this, at the rate they’re going by the time they’d wanna pump out new material they’d be so old one would wonder if they even want to do it anymore

Agreed with both of y'all

Then again if we get a whole album expanding on Sky Machine I’ll be super duper happy

Man, "We Are" is such an excellent track.

"The thing is, this album wasn’t even worth the wait, so the whopping five year plus wait is unwarranted on all fronts. It makes no sense for it to take this long."
It makes sense if you think about how difficult it is to keep a band going in Australia without constant international touring. The dudes in 'vool are most likely involved in other more lucrative things that moves the band down on their list of priorities. If they put new music, awesome, I look forward to it. But I think it's kind of hard to expect them, or Twelve Foot Ninja or Voyager or whoever to devote most of their time to constantly churning out high quality music when doing that is possibly the least lucrative endeavour that they're involved in.

Really balanced comment there Sitar

He puts a lot of thought into his writing agreed

Sitar really hitting the soul with his explanation. I really am just an impatient bitch when it comes to waiting for bands I love to release music.

Everyone is just as impatient, you aren't the only one. I like to focus on other bands when my favorite active bands delay releasing albums.

Yeah sorry about being a debbie downer guys. But on the bright side, you know that if vool ever puts out more music that it'll be purely for the love of it and not because they need a quick paycheck. That pretty much goes for any cult prog band in the world tbh.

can not understand the hate towards this. I love the fresh, confusing nature of it. Sound Awake gets too repetitive every now and then

I can't remember if I ever listened to all of this.

I never really gave this one a chance.

Okay, this is pretty good now that I've actually given it a fair shot. We Are and Sky Machine are up there with their best songs

I haven't listened to this in a minute, but We Are is a jam

It's much easier to jump into any song on Song Awake than it is here, but overall I think this is their best album. One of those albums that I can't just not listen in full once I put it on.
The drums in Nachash piss me off though. Who does the drummer think he is, doing whatever it is that he's doing.
