Honestly I love BTBAM but this album is just alright with me. Love Goodbye to Everything and I think The Black Box and Telos are the best section of the album. This album just doesnt hit me nearly as hard as The Great Misdirect, Colors or Alaska.



Anyone know the story of this album? I'm having a little bit of trouble understanding the whole concept.

still not sure what to rate this

I agree with you guys, in that I never just have to listen to this. Even though the album's more sound from a songwriting standpoint than previous efforts, it all feels a bit too tame and redundant.

I obviously still enjoy it a lot. It's constantly playing in my car, for starters. But it's just less gripping of a ride than Colors / TGM.

Have you heard Colors a ton like I have? Last night I listened to it for the first time in about 6 months / a year, and I began to realize how much I'd heard the thing. And while I loved hearing it again, I can't remember the last time I turned it on just because I had to hear something.

Although I can't ever really not listen to "Ants of the Sky" in full.

Yeah, definitely. Lay Your Ghosts to Rest / Extremophile Elite are probably my favorites here.
