You're not missing much.
I've heard this one but not decided on a rating yet, need to return & try again.

This album is pretty perfect but I don’t understand why so many more Coroner fans rate “Mental Vortex” higher than “No More Color?” NMC has zero flaws, has not only insane technicality but somehow also has equally as insanely impressive songwriting and the riffs are just plentiful and all out guitar bliss. I give the nod to “No More Color” because it never drops in energy or greatness whereas “Mental Vortex” to me seems to be slightly a step slow for this great band, it’s like the difference between 1992 Michael Jordan vs. 1998 Michael Jordan...it’s still the greatest but just slightly a step slower.

Both of them have almost the same rating, no need to be upset about it.
|

Both are equally awesome imo.
''You're not missing much.''
I actually never heard of the band until I joined this site last year hahahahaha.
Now that I think about it, there are a lot of Sput circle jerk albums that I haven't heard yet.

"Both of them have almost the same rating, no need to be upset about it."
Basically. Besides, even Mental Vortex brings the shred in the form of tracks like Pale Sister, Semtex Revolution and Sirens.

I personally prefer Mental Vortex's more melodic tendencies, and feel the songwriting is bumped up another notch towards memorability on this album. But still, No More Color is absolutely a great album in its own right.
