Most of his tapes are fire. BFTD is best though yeah.

He's arguably the most inventive and least boxed in of the top 90s MCs. While you pretty much always know what you're getting with Wu-tang or Biggie or Pac, Andre was constantly switching up his style, learning new instruments and learning to sing. Which is why he's the only MC I know of who's made an album like the Love Below, which is closer to experimental funk pop, while also being able to drop straight hip hop classics when he wants to. Even without all the experimentation he would still be one of my favourites because he's really fucking good at rapping, but the invetiveness is that extra step and what makes OutKast so fascinating at their core (Andre's weird space age experimentation vs Big Bois old school gangsta style). I hope that's adequate for ya ford hahaha

Danny Brown talked about how it just feels so violent, like Keef and his crew are about to run up on you and start blasting any minute and I agree that's a big part of what makes BftD so good.

Rowan put that into words a lot better than I could lmao

There's a lot of good shit from the Chicago drill scene tbh not just Keef. I dig Lil Durk, Lil Reese, Fredo Santana, SD, Edai, LA Capone, RondoNumbaNine, Cdai, Blood Money, Gino Marley, G Herbo, King Louie, Lil Bibby, FBG Duck, Lil Mister, Lil Jay, Billionaire Black, Young Pappy, Smylez, etc all so hard.

yeah a lot of people seem to write it off here but it's got a lot of good stuff and no scene sounds quite like it

boring and uninspired weed rap, there are plenty of him out there. i would never waste my time trying to listen to him
|

I'm only 'talking serious' now cuz people with good taste seem to dig him. and lately I've been deliberately trying things normally offbeat to me so it kinda only made sense
also death grips are really not that special

besides their lyrical depth, consistency, and beats that have inspired the likes of david bowie, yea nothing special. theyre certainly no chief keef
