Elton John on an Alice album isn't so shocking when you remember he sang live with Eminem
But damn does it add an extra layer of heartbreak to that song

Damn I just commented this on the wrong thread but doesn't matter I'll post it again here. I just purchased both Round Hill Records re-releases of BGWTB and TDPDH on iTunes after realizing they got remastered and yes indeed it's very subtle and you might not tell the difference if you aren't an audiophile but the brickwalling is no longer there.

@parallels
I don’t know exactly what Elton John contributed to that song, likely just the keys, but it brings me to fucking tears every time. To the point where it’s hard to listen to.
Literally one of their best songs

Opener and Acid Bubble are the best ones in here. Solid record but nothing spectacular.

I remember when A Looking in View came out as the first single and it was just so fucking heavy, a massive wall of sound, fantastic tune!

Quality album. I'd never really paid any attention to anything the band put out post-Staley until recently but I have to say, this is very good.

True, especially when you realize that Elton John was the first artist Layne ever saw live

This album has aged well. I’ll take this album over self-titled - albeit well behind Dirt, Facelift and Jar.

kind of surprised people are favouring this album so much. Back in the day I would say this was one of their best albums and everyone would shit on me lol
