The Moor (10:20), Master's Apprentices (7:47) and Wreath (0:00) are fucking heavy too

edit: I suppose it depends on what you define as 'heavy'; if you mean a dark, evil atmosphere, then Dirge For November and Blackwater Park are clear winners.

I should post the news. It's a pretty bizarre reformation. Dino and Burton used to hate each other and now??? They reform together. WTF happened.

Yet they leave out Christian and Herrera without mentioning the reformation to them. Pretty gay and childisih. They still sya they're technically a part of Fear Factory so this schoolyard bullshit has got to go.

This album was really great. Different to their others, and I found it especially different to Ghost Reveries, but its a good 'growing' album and I look forward to what Opeth can do from here.

Plus they rocked out live on this tour.

reading over these last couple comments dino and mikeal are both talked about, you guys heard the Roadrunner United: All-Star sessions? They both have some pretty big parts in that album. "Roads" is how I discovered Mikeal. His voice is fantastic.

"Akerfeldt sounds like a parody of himself, both lyrically and vocally, as he whines "I wrote down a name (and read it twice) / I wallow in shame" and "I promised to stay (and held my grief) / I went far away". Honestly, it has to be one of most embarrassing moments of Opeth's career. The rest of the band bails Akerfeldt out half way through the song with an admittedly cool instrumental bridge, highlighted by its creepy guitar leads."

You do realize that the whole band goes into the studio and decides what goes on the record right? So to say that the band bailed him out would be kind of an oxymoron seeing as they wanted that singing part to be there just as much as him. And also Akerfeldt plays guitar as well so he was in that "admittedly cool instrumental bridge." I'm just trying to say that whatever a band puts on the album is usually what they wanted to put on the album. Occasionally the record label will add another song but not very often. They have an unorthodox way of writing songs and that is the best part about them. They have had parts in songs that I have not preferred as well, but all in all they are amazing musicians and I can assure you that they are not embarrassed with anything they have written unless it was forced.

I have only heard "roads" from that, the one Akerfeldt sings. And it was incredible.
