This is not even standard alt rock

It has a lot of post-punk and punk influences

"Big Mac, smack, Phoenix R, please smile y'all

Cuba, Mexico can't cauterize our discipline

Your idols speak so much of the abyss

Yet your morals only run as deep as the surface"

yeah this quote makes me realize that for all these years of having the Holy Bible i have had no idea what he's actually been singing on most of it

A rant against consumerism and how the corrupting influence of power/money can leave us isolated, emotionally disconnected and morally redundant is deemed....Raunchy. Looks like the yanks still don't quite get it.

One of if not the best albums ever in regards to lyrical content. Yeah, a lyric sheet is required, but fuck each track on here oozes with wit and political awareness.

a heads up, Collectors' Choice has this on sale for $7 at Discogs (the new remaster on vinyl - not the RSD picture disc). Trust me on this, this deal won't last long.

if you're in the U.S., their shipping for 1 album is 2.99 (so, the total is $10.32)

I bought Bowie's Hours for about 10 (the music on vinyl version) along with the Heroes symphony back in December for a total of about 20 dollars, and by mistake (I think) they sent Nirvana's Nevermind (which I promptly sold)

they usually fuck with the price, so it may be different. (tried to add the cheaper one to my cart, it's still up for grabs)

no problemo, they've had The Terror by The Flaming Lips for about 10 for more than a year now and I should really get on that. Missed getting the new Napalm Death for 8 and I'm still regretting that.
