i dont rly like thinking about music in terms of numbers and ratings, rather just enjoy the music. i think a lot of ppl on here are way too concerned with their ratings and ranking stuff and whatnot. that and im a lazy POS

yeah I wiped all my ratings for the same reason, didn't like listening to music and automatically trying to rate it rather than just enjoying/not enjoying it

on the other side of that, people can take rating stuff way too seriously. I just think it's fun and it helps me keep track of stuff I've listened to. guess it's never been too hard for me to separate my enjoyment of an album from what I may later end up rating it

I wouldn't do it religiously, but it does help me keep track of what I've listened and need to listen to again and stuff. I tend to not bother rating stuff I find boring or bad, cos there's no point it hardly matters
