I agree with you.

I admit it does annoy me when Opeth elitists always cite MAYH as the default best Opeth album

This is more what I was referring to than your comments, Emyay.

Nothing against Motiv though, although I do disagree with him on pretty much everything haha.

c'mon Jaimie, 2.5?

Fair Judgement alone warrants an automatic 3.5

A Fair Judgment is the one song I really like on here but one really good song (on an album with six tracks) certainly doesn't warrant any higher than a 2.5.

I really couldn't care less about what others think about whats "overrated" Opeth. Yeah Morningrise, MA,YH and Still Life are my favorites but thats beside the point. If someone has a certain album as their favorite, their's nothing wrong with that

Fred is so overlooked in Opeth, he's a skilled guitarist and a sweet dude.

I don't have much of an issue with this personally, as long as they don't antagonize other users too much. I mean I love all their first 3 so I think any of 'em could be "best Opeth" in someone's mind.

I do consider SL and BWP overrated, but hey, if others love those albums, who am I to deprive them of that?

I haven't jammed Watershed and GR as much as I should tho, time will tell how I feel about those.

As for Heritage, well, some dig it and some don't.

Or maybe people just like that album more than the rest of their discog.

@Lloyd: The drums have never bothered me at all, probably because pretty much everything else about the album is by far the best music they've ever done.
