i think i'd dislike it less if they reordered the tracks, closing out the album with that doesn't sound right
like covenant has nar mattaru, but then god of emptiness ends it in the best possible way

I think invocation could be the reimagined closer here.

But yeah, album could use a rearrangement of the tracklist

I agree with Hype last page in liking all the weird extra stuff

Nar Mattaru is my most listened to track on last.fm and it’s mainly due to falling asleep to it. They’re very hypnotic, Disturbance in the Great Slumber is my fav on here.

re: track list, well the album begins with 5 straight dm songs so they could've split it there and there instead of ending with 3 straight interludes

"I think invocation could be the reimagined closer here."
Mentally that's how it's always been. I always forget there are two instrumental meanderings afterward. Idk why they didn't end it there.
|
| |
Yea it's a great closer. It is one of the best songs of the album and it summarizes the style and athmosphere of the record. No idea why they wanted to cap it off with weirdo stuff.
|
| |
Yeah this album contains some of the best death metal tracks ever jammed by some of the best(the best?) drum and guitar pairings ever made. It's just some amazing stuff when they hit the stride simultaneyslu. Doesn't work perfectly as a complete art piece as it's predecessors, but still contains some essential stuff /m

trey is so, so good at writing distinctive, catchy riffs

Yeah the ordering of the tracks is a bit weird. I remember this trailing off and none of the last few tracks being actual songs which was pretty awkward

Trey for ever. Some of the best ever. This is what he chosed to do. Can't criticize man of his talent.
